Faculty can create Adobe Connect meetings by going to http://webmeeting.umd.edu and log in using Directory ID and Password.

webmeeting.umd.edu is Adobe Connect faculty's central control place where faculty could create and manage meeting rooms, manage content and users, and retrieve meeting archives and polling questions.

1.

Log into http://webmeeting.umd.edu, and then click "MEETING" button to create a new meeting.

2.

Give the meeting room a name.
Give the meeting a Custom URL. Custom URL will make the room web address easier for students to remember.

This URL can only include alphanumeric characters or hyphens.

3.

Under "Access", select the option "Anyone who has the URL for the meeting can enter the room".

This option would allow anybody participant level access to the room (without usernames/passwords). Faculty can then copy the meeting access link and send to participants by email.

(Please note: to enable guest presenter level access, faculty can promote guests to presenter-level status during a live meeting on the fly.)

4.

Click the “Finish” button. The meeting URL will be available.
This is the URL students will use to access the room. Faculty can post the room URL to Canvas space or just email to the students.

Please see the document "Getting Started with Adobe Connect" for more information.
