Where are you located and when are you open?

The Off-Campus Housing Services Links to an external site. office provides resources Links to an external site. to students and the University Community to educate them on off-campus housing topics and assist them in finding off-campus housing.

Are there off-campus housing options that the University works with?

There is an abundance of Off-Campus Housing options in the surrounding community and the College Park area. You can view the Off-Campus Housing Database Links to an external site. to gain more information about available options. 
  • Housing at The Courtyards and South Campus Commons
    The Courtyards and South Campus Commons are public-private partnership apartment communities located at the University of Maryland, and owned and managed by a private management company in partnership with the University. Students living in these communities sign leases (mid-August through July) with Capstone On-Campus Management.
  • Immediate opportunities for the Spring are available for students to sign leases at South Campus Commons or the Courtyards through the “releasing” process; a process where a current lease-holder who no longer needs housing is able to transfer their lease to another student. If you are interested in re-leasing in South Campus Commons or The Courtyards, follow these steps:
1 - Complete the no-obligation Commons/Courtyards Leasing application by logging into the Housing Portal Links to an external site..
2- After completing the application, indicate your property preference by filling out the
“Commons/Courtyards Leasing Interest Form” found under “Other Forms and Links” in the Housing Portal. Current leaseholders are able to request access to this list and reach out directly to those who are interested.

In addition to completing the Commons/Courtyards Leasing Interest Form, we encourage you to search the Off-Campus Housing Service's Off-Campus Housing Database Links to an external site. for re-leasing opportunities at South Campus Commons and The Courtyards. To search for these listings, click on the Housing Tab and use the Text Search option to filter for the South Campus Commons or Courtyards apartment communities.
