Jazmine, the COSI for  Native American/ Indigenous Involvement, is a sophomore behavioral community health major at the University of Maryland College Park. She is a registered tribal member of the Lumbee tribe of North Carolina and actively participates in indigenous involvement measures in her hometown of Severn, MD. On campus, she stays involved through her participation in UMD’s Diversity Programming Advisory Group and Black Student Union along with being a Community Assistant on North Hill South Campus residence halls. The experiences presented through her engagements have enhanced her aspirations of decreasing health disparities in minority populations through educating communities in the future.
