Reflective Writing Overview
I. GOALS
To better understand how each of us is developing as a writer throughout the semester, we will have several opportunities for reflective writing. With the final submission of each major assignment, you will be asked to reflect on your experiencing writing the document, starting with topic selection through final submission.
II. REQUIREMENTS
Instructions on how to complete each reflective writing piece (usually called a Memo), are available on each final submission page of each major assignment. In general, these are 1+ page, single-spaced documents.
III. FURTHER GUIDANCE
While the Memo/reflective writing component of each major writing assignment might be the last thing you write, it should be as well edited and thought out as all of the other components of your submission. You should compose each memo in well-structured paragraphs, providing specific examples throughout.
