Assignment Instructions
1. After watching the video, use the strategies you learned to find an internship or job of interest to you in Handshake.
2. Copy & paste the job description into a Word doc and upload it here. Highlight the keywords written in the job description in which you have experience.
3. The job description must include the following: overview of the organization, geographic location of the internship, start/end dates (months are okay), number of hours per week, and clear explanation of internship's duties/projects.
4. In the comment box for this assignment, write a 200-word reflection that addresses your next steps in applying to this internship or job. Sample questions to reflect upon can include (but you are not limited to):
- Do you need to tailor and target your resume or cover letter and if so, how will you do that?
- Do you need to learn more about the organization and if so, how will do that?
- What are the skills/experiences that the organization wants in this intern? Do you have those skills and experiences?
- How will you ensure the employer is aware of your relevant experiences in your resume and cover letter?
