April 9th, Differential Geometry on Meshes

This session is about differential geometry and how to calculate differential shape properties (like curvature) on triangle meshes. Computing such quantities will be important for many applications, such as mesh deformation or smoothing. The session consists of a reading assignment, which is Chapter 3 in the book "Polygon Mesh Processing" by Botsch et al. You can find a pdf of the book here Links to an external site..
