Reading Assignment
This session does not have slide material. Instead there is only a reading assignment, which is the paper "Scene Representation Networks Links to an external site." (Sitzman et al., NeurIPS 2019, code Links to an external site.). This paper has quite a few similarities to the paper from the last session, but a key difference is their "neural rendering" approach.
Learning Check
Answer the following questions about the paper:
- Describe the problem statement addressed by the paper.
- Describe the difference between the scene representation of this paper and the one from the last session (DIST Links to an external site.), and also the differences between the sphere tracing techniques of this paper and DIST.
