Hello! My name is Manpreet Dayal, as of January 2021 I am in the process of figuring out different aspects of my own identity, along with what I would like to do post-graduation. This portfolio will be a cumulation of my work as a senior, transfer student, first-generation college student, second-generation immigrant, South Asian, Sikh, Sociology, and Public Policy dual degree and half graduate student. I hope to use this portfolio as a journal of my thoughts and decision-making process throughout this year.

What I know about myself is that I genuinely enjoy learning, I usually have too much on my plate at one time, am always working multiple jobs, enjoys fashion, anime, and K-dramas along with discovering new music! (recommendations are always welcome). I think I am pretty funny and that the universe puts me in multiple chaotic situations in order for me to have stories to tell that can later be used to hopefully help or advise my peers.

I am currently working as MICA's Finance COSI, along with the Administrative Assistant for the UMD Asian American Studies Program and a Marketing Intern for the International Bar Association. I am a co-Vice President of External Affairs for the Asian American Student Union, am a member of the OMSE Academic Excellence Society, Tau Sigma Honors Society, work with APIAVote, and am a part of the UMD Sikh Student Association, along with the UMD Students for Justice in Palestine.

I do many things because I am interested in learning as much as I can and become a Jack (Jacqueline if you will) of all trades. I would also love to know what interests others and welcome discussion!
