Recently, EA Sports released a new gameplay clip for FIFA 22 that showcases the title's HyperMotion technology, among a number of other new next-generation features.

Despite the hype surrounding the trailer, the gameplay deep dive Pitch Notes released alongside it captured the attention and imagination of many long-time players, providing a comprehensive look at many of the game's newest features, including changes to the attacking and defending systems, tactical configurations, dribbling and skill moves, among other things.

To keep up with the buzz, we're breaking down each of these fundamental components and providing in-depth overviews of all the new and retained mechanisms in each of these essential gameplay elements in advance of the game's October 1 release.

FIFA 22 introduces all-new skill moves

There will be more difficulty in executing these moves than simply dribbling alone, and they will not be effective from driven passes.
