Whether you're in the middle of the internship/job search process or trying to prepare for an upcoming interview, conducting effective employer research is a key element to a successful search.
What is the importance of employer research when applying for internships or jobs?
- To discover organizations that work within the industry you might want to pursue
- To ensure that this organization is a good fit for your own interests and values
- To help you target and tailor your application materials (resume, cover letter, etc) to highlight the relevant skills and experiences that match what that employer is seeking and values
- To brainstorm questions to ask that employer during an upcoming interview
- To help you demonstrate your interest in the organization both in-person and on-paper

- Simply googling the organization and clicking on the "news" tab

For this assignment:
1) Choose an organization to research that aligns with your career interests and values. You are welcome to choose any organization, but the organization should fall in line with your expressed career interests.
2) Use the resources highlighted above and any other resources you're aware of to learn more about your selected organization/internship site.
